DipStrike

Privacy Policy

DipStrike is an offline-first field geology notebook. Version 1.0 does not require an account, does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not send your field records to the developer.

Effective date: 22 July 2026

The short version: your measurements, notes, recordings, samples, photos, and waypoints stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Information DipStrike handles

DipStrike may handle the following information when you use the relevant feature:

How information is used

This information is used only to provide the app features you request: recording field observations, calculating measurements, transcribing notes, tagging records, displaying maps, scanning QR codes, and preparing exports.

DipStrike does not use your field information for advertising, profiling, or tracking.

Storage and sharing

DipStrike 1.0 stores its records locally on your device. The developer does not operate a server that receives these records. The Apple Watch companion sends captures directly to the paired iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework.

When you export a CSV file or use the system share sheet, you choose the destination and recipient. The privacy practices of that destination are governed by its provider.

Permissions

DipStrike requests system permission only when a feature needs it. You can decline a permission or change it later in the Settings app. Some related functionality may then be unavailable, but existing local records remain accessible.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

DipStrike 1.0 includes no third-party advertising SDK, cross-app tracker, or developer-run analytics service. It does not sell personal information and does not track you across apps or websites.

Data retention and deletion

Local records remain on your device until you delete them, use Erase All Data in DipStrike Settings, or uninstall the app. Exported copies must be deleted separately from the locations where you saved or shared them.

Children's privacy

DipStrike is a field productivity tool and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when DipStrike's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
